Assembly Member Catharine Baker Introduces Assembly Resolution to Memorialize
“Women in Construction Week“
SACRAMENTO – Assembly Member Catharine Baker has introduced Assembly Concurrent Resolution 182 to memorialize “Women in Construction Week”. The measure would recognize the week of March 4, 2018 through March 10, 2018 as Women in Construction Week in order to highlight women as a visible component of the construction industry.
CAL SMACNA would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge the women in our industry who have contributed through boards, committees, and otherwise volunteered their time to help our industry through CAL SMACNA. These remarkable women include: Gina Medel, Lisa Tuck, Carmen Koo, Angie Simon, Yindy Felkins, Soniya Chopada, Karen Fox, Ashley Carneval, Cheryl Sprague, and Linda Jennings.
We are also very proud of ALL the women actively working in the sheet metal and HVAC trade. See below a picture of the “San Diego Construction Women’s Council”.
Lastly, CAL SMACNA would like to recognize the outstanding work of Leslie Reinmiller, Training Director for Southern California Sheet Metal JATC.
