In response to California’s affordable housing crisis, two bills are advancing in the Legislature that would provide public funding and a streamlined process for approval of multi-family housing developments: SB 3 (Beall) and SB 35 (Wiener).
CSLB operations are funded entirely by license fees, and today, a combination of increased costs and a seven-percent reduction in the number of licenses necessitates that CSLB raise various fees by approximately 10 percent.
